Una de las actividades que el departamento de Inglés les propuso a los chicos de 2do año durante el 2do trimestre fue la redacción de una reseña crítica. Ellos pudieron optar entre escribir acerca de una obra de teatro que hubieran visto recientemente, un thriller o novela romántica, o un film para niños entre 9 y 11 años.
Las producciones fueron muchas y muy buenas. Aquí ofrecemos tres de ellas. La primera, de Macarena Pasman; la segunda, de Nicolás Peloso; y la 3era, de Juana Gros y Agustina Mayayo.

The novel is about a girl in her last year at high school, who only wanted to spend that time looking at her crush, Jay Stone. The problem starts when her old bully from primary school comes back to change everything she believed in. During the five books of the saga you will find yourself unable to put the book down.
The story is really well-written and the characters have such interesting personalities that you will cry, laugh of both at the same time.
To my belief, the passion on the words Blair Holder wrote makes the five books the most incredible and engaging I have ever read.

 "Megamind" is an animated movie of superheros released in 2010, directed by Tom McGrath with the help of Dreamworks Animation.
The movie is about Megamind, a villain that, with his fellow partner Minion, has always tried to kill Metroman, the superhero of Metrocity. After many years, they finally manage to kill him and conquer the world. But they soon realise that it's really boring to be a villain without a superhero to fight against. How can Megamind revert this situation?
The characters in this film, and their voice-actors are brilliant. Every character is charismatic and unforgettable in their own way, and the way that every actor deliver some of their voice-lines, just makes them funnier and more memorable. The humor in it is great, both for adults and children. So much, that in some scenes I will burst out laughing every time I see them. Its animation and visuals are also great, managing to depict perfectly the emotions of every scene, along with amazing songs such as "Highway to Hell" and "Bad". But the key element about "Megamind" is his speech about whether bad attitude is acquired or inherited and his deep and wholesome message about it.
Overall, "Megamind" is a masterpiece ahead of its time. Every element fits in perfectly with each other, and succeeds in every challenge it sets. Enjoyable for everyone, no matter the age, a masterpiece that, unluckily, didn't receive the attention it deserved, until recently. I can't insist enough: you should definitely watch it.

 “La Venganza de la vaca” is a thriller written by Sergio Aguirre in 1998 and it was published in 2000. It is set in Córdoba, Argentina in the 20th century.
It is a book about five teenagers: Rafael, Marcela, Cristina, Leticia and Carlos. They are friends from high school and they go to Cristina ‘s grandparents house to spend the weekend. Rafael, Cristina, Leticia and Carlos have a plan to take revenge on Marcela for something she did in the past. Later on, you will realize why the story is related to cows and that this plan will go too far.
“La Venganza de la Vaca” has a distinct characteristic: it starts the way it ends. As it has simple vocabulary, it is very easy to read and that allows you to follow the storyline perfectly. In addition, the characters are described in detail, which makes you feel close to them.
To sum up, if you are a teenager and you haven’t read this book yet, I would really recommend it to you because once you start reading it, you won’t be able to put it down!
